for they will be called sons of God.
Be A Humble Peacemaker
What would it take for you to become a humble peacemaker? Humility is elusive. As soon as I say, “I’m so humble,” I betray the fact that I am not humble! And if I am trying to make peace on one front, why is it that unrest arises on another front? Could it be because humility is lacking?
Although humility is desired by many, it is only achieved by a few. Self gets in the way. But humility requires death to self. Who wants to die to what we want? We know we should not be selfish or consumed with only our desires. However, it’s our natural tendency.
Followers of Jesus must deny themselves, even die to themselves, and make the necessary sacrifices to be in a relationship with Jesus.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
Matthew 16:24 CSB
Study Humble Peacemaking
Yes, humble peacemaking is a complex subject. We can’t address the topic in just a blog post to make a life-changing impact. Therefore, DDCommunity would like to challenge you to read through the CSB Life Essentials Study Bible while studying how to become a humble peacemaker.
In the CSB Life Essentials Study Bible, renowned Bible teacher Dr. Gene Getz guides readers through Scripture by expounding on 1500 life principles found throughout the Bible. Distilling these truths into life principles, Dr. Getz helps readers remember and apply the Bible’s wisdom to everyday life.

Humble Peacemaker Bible Study Focus Questions
With the Connect to God’s Word with This One Year Bible Study, we start with spiritual maturity foundations, namely, Connect to God’s Word, and the 2nd step, Fear the Lord. In the Study What the Bible Says about Sin and Righteousness, we consider the 3rd step of spiritual development, Experience Forgiveness of Sins, and the 4th step, Choose Righteousness. The Depend on God and Be Disciplined One Year Bible Study focuses on the need to Depend on God while we mature to Accept Discipline.
We have already noted that humble peacemaking is a complex subject. Still, we consider the 7th step, Be Humble, and the 8th step, Be a Peacemaker, of spiritual maturity as we daily focus on completing the following statements:
- I need God to . . .
- I promote peace when . . .
Will you be able to complete those statements each day as we follow the reading plan from Genesis to Revelation? Yes!
